DR. LAWRENCE C. WALSH
Dr. Lawrence C. Walsh received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 1964. He then earned the degree of Doctor of dEntal Surgery from the university of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 1968. Following six years in general practice and two additional years of speciality training he was awarded a certificate of Endodontics from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 1976. Dr. Walsh was a part-time Clinical Instructor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry from 1975-1980.
DR. STEVEN E. FEGAN
Dr. Steven Fegan received a B.S. in biological sciences from Wayne State University in 1984. In 1988 he completed his D.D.S. at the University of Detroit. He finished his M.S. degree and Certificate in Endodontics at the University of Detroit in 1991. For three years following his endodontic residency, he was a part-time preclinical instructor in endodontics. He has been the past chairman of the Macomb Dental Society Young Professionals, past president of the Thumb District Dental Society, past chairman of the Michigan Dental Asssociation’s public relations committee, the past president of the Michigan Association of Endodontists, and currently is a representative to the Council of Michigan Dental Specialties. Since 1991, Dr. Fegan has practiced full-time with Bluewater Endodontics/Michigan Endodontics in Port Huron and Warren, Michigan.
DR. DERIK P. DECONINCK
Dr. Derik DeConinck received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Kalamazoo College in 1991 and graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry with a D.D.S. degree in 1995. After completing a General Practice Residency at the North Chicago V.A. Medical Center, Dr. DeConinck returned to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, completing the Endodontics residency program and earning a Certificate in Endodontics in 1998. In 2006, Dr. DeConinck became a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, the highest academic and professional recognition in the specialty of Endodontics. Dr. Derik DeConinck has served in organized dentistry as past president of the Macomb Dental Society, past president of the Michigan Association of Endodontists, and various committees within the American Association of Endodontists and Michigan Dental Association. Since 1998, Dr. Derik DeConinck has practiced full-time with Michigan Endodontics, P.C., in both the Warren and Port Huron offices.
DR. CAROLIN IBRAHIM
Dr. Carolin Ibrahim knew from an early age that she wanted to be a dentist after working as a dental assistant for a mobile dentistry practice that provided care for the elderly. Dr. Ibrahim earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oakland University. She then attended University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery and graduated with honors in 2013. Following her graduation, Dr. Ibrahim practiced general dentistry for three years in Metro Detroit before deciding to pursue a specialty in endodontics. Recently, she completed a two-year residency in Endodontics at Indiana University School of Dentistry and received her Master of Science in Dentistry and Certificate in Endodontics. During her specialty training, Dr. Ibrahim completed research in regenerative endodontics and presented this research at the American Association of Endodontists 2018 annual session. She is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and Macomb District Dental Society and is Board-eligible with the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. A. Timothy DeConinck
Dr. A. Timothy DeConinck graduated from University of Detroit Dental School in 1967. Elected to Omicron Kappa Epsilon National Dental Honor Society. Practiced general dentistry for six years, then went back and received Speciality Degree in Endodontics from UofD School of Dentistry in 1975. Dr. A. Timothy DeConinck practiced dentistry for over 40 years at Michigan Endodontics. Throughout his career, he served as President of Macomb County Dental Society, President of Michigan Association of Endodontics, and various other committees at the local and state levels for the both the Michigan Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontics.
