Dr. Hafsa Affendi is a highly trained endodontist whose clinical expertise is grounded in a strong foundation in pain management and complex dental care. She grew up in the Himalayan region of India, Kashmir, before relocating to New Delhi NCR to pursue her dental education. Dr. Affendi earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from ITS Centre for Dental Studies and Research in 2015.
In 2016, Dr. Affendi moved to the United States to further her training, pursuing advanced specialty education in Orofacial Pain and TMJ Disorders at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey. During this time, she completed extensive research on post traumatic trigeminal neuropathic pain as part of her master’s thesis, deepening her understanding of complex facial pain conditions and patient centered pain management.
Driven by her interest in combining precision endodontic care with her background as a pain specialist, Dr. Affendi completed her specialty training in Endodontics at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She graduated in 2023 with both a master’s degree and a certificate in Endodontics.
Dr. Affendi has published peer reviewed research and delivered lectures at both national and international forums. She is passionate about integrating her expertise in orofacial pain with modern endodontic techniques to provide thoughtful, comprehensive care, particularly for patients experiencing complex or persistent dental pain.
Outside of the office, Dr. Affendi enjoys spending time with her two cats, cooking, and hosting friends. Her favorite weekend activities include kayaking, trekking, and exploring fine dining experiences. A self-described food connoisseur, she is always eager to discover and share new restaurant recommendations.
